It's been a while since I went to a real concert (Flight of the Conchords doesn't count) so I was quite excited to see how Wolf Parade would stack up.
First off, the Henry Fonda may not look like much from the outside, but once inside there is a very chill vibe, which was to me surprising and welcomed. Once there, you could literally sit on the floor for the show to start.
The show kicked off around 9:10 with the opening band Listening Party who despite my initial doubts, were very good. A mix of sampled rough beats, trash can drumming and delayed guitar riffs. It was a nice little surprise and the band was full of energy.
Once they finished up, it took around 25 minutes for Wolf Parade to start the show with You Are a Runner and I Am My Father's Son which instantly got the crowd going wild. I don't exactly remember the setlist, but they played a healthy balance of tracks from Apologies to the Queen Mary and At Mount Zoomer and had a hell of a killer encore. …
