In my music studies over the past eleven years, I've learned that a composition is only a "song' if there is singing in it. Of course, there are probably other schools of thought out there that hold different opinion on the matter, but most musicologists agree that instrumentals, spoken word etc are not technically song. Colloquially (that is, informally and in common speech) these are called "songs", but this is actually incorrect. Oh well, whatever. Nevermind. In other news, I've finally acquired this recording in real life. Cheers.

A "song" is a short metrical composition intended, or adapted for singing. Even the biggest retard can make the simple connection of the word origins of "song" being derived from "sing". Colloquially speaking, instrumentals are usually called songs, but technically this is erroneous.
