Wild Nothing

Blacksburg VA, United States (2009 – present)

Wild Nothing is the solo project of Virginia born Jack Tatum, whose music is the product of an unhealthy case of nostalgia. Equal parts teenage wasteland and inexplicable regret, his songs are the kind that could only be made by the young at heart.

Tatum began recording under the moniker Wild Nothing in the summer of 2009 in Blacksburg, Virginia. Upon gathering attention in indie music circles, he was signed with the Captured Tracks record label and began touring with a band. His debut full-length, Gemini, was released in spring 2010 to acclaim from Pitchfork Media and the music editors at Amazon. com. He also has a new album called Nocturne that came out in 2012.

His second EP Empty Estate was released in May 2013.

Interested to see where this next album takes me. I seemed to be in the minority of people who enjoyed Nocturne and Golden Haze over Gemini. Empty Estate is forever meh.

They both remind me of each other, Jack Tatum and Star-Lord(Chris Pratt)

I love this band so much. The new direction (from the EP) doesn't bother me at all, actually. It's really catchy! Don't mind a full album of the EP or a Nocturne/Gemini part II.

Definately not far superior. That isn't fair seeing as the entire record is solid. My personal fave being Paradise. Nocturne being far superior to Gemini though... I'd agree with that.

Two days ago @wildnothing tweeted "HI - I promise I am alive. The third Wild Nothing record is nearly written and very close to being ready for the studio."
