@acalltoapathy Funny, I'd say Nocturne gave me that same effect. I adore every track on the album and thought that Gemini paled in comparison. I would rank Nocturne > Golden Haze > Gemini > Empty Estate. Must be the Wild Nothing effect that leaves listeners with at least one album from them that they simply love.

Nocturne's a great album, but it will always live in the gargantuan shadow of Gemini, as far as I'm concerned. Gemini isn't just one of the best dreampop records of the last five years, it's one of the best records of the last five years, and one of my all-time favourites. It's the only album I've ever 'loved' virtually each individual track on.

Nowhere near as good as Nocturne, sadly.

I've never heard of WD before, and then I chose Gemini as my introduction and immediately thought, YES!, I'd like this on my iPod when I stroll around places. It just flows nicely on my earphone.
