Biography

There are mutliple artists with this name:

1. Whitechapel is a six-piece brutal deathcore band from Knoxville, TN. The band has a recurring theme of Jack the Ripper, hence being named after the area of London (England) where the killer found his victims. They are signed to Metal Blade Records and have had a rapidly growing fanbase ever since their debut full-length “The Somatic Defilement” was released July 31st, 2007.

Brandon Cagle left the band in November 2007 due to a motorcycle accident that has since left his right arm disabled and in need of surgery. The group released their second album, “This is Exile” , in July 2008.

2. Whitechapel is an American Synthpop/Futurepop band.

    I mean it's all opinion really, and all of their albums are great in my opinion, but they've definitely matured more with each album in terms of writing and I like that they play a lot more with atmosphere on their newer stuff, and they're focusing the guitar work more and justifying the fact that they have 3 guitarists. These guys have been top tier deathcore from the get go, and in my opinion have evolved more with each album.

    Really don't think the self-titled is all that great. At this point in time, yes the first two albums really are the best, "This Is Exile" really kicked the door open and they got a huge fan base from that record. "A New Era..." is 50/50 as far as the songs go I think, there are some great tracks and some just not so impressive ones, the self titled is an extension of it, but with more bad parts. The first record remains king and the new remastered version is killer.
