White Wizzard hails from Los Angeles CA. Tired of the same old down-tuned metal that seems to be everywhere these days, Jon Leon formed White Wizzard in the summer of 2007. The goal was simple - to bring the songwriting, melody and good times back into metal and rock.

A 7 song EP was recorded in the fall of 2007 with the first line up and was well received and is about to be released worldwide. White Wizzard then released in early 2010 the album ‘Over the top’ with a changed line up.

3 songs from the forthcoming album have been put up here on their MySpace page for everyone to hear a preview of the amazing album that is to follow. With a screaming demon on vocals, a tight 2 guitar attack that can shred AND play with feel, thunderous melodic bass and drums, White Wizzard is poised to take the torch of the great metal bands of the past and look to the future with a dominating spirit and memorable melodic hooks and songwriting.

    Sonolin is a dumbass, yeah those famous bands are good but not heavy at all, bass has been a steady development over the years i.e 5 string bass, 8 and even 9 string guitars. i just find the bio to be hilarious, if you were to play black sabbath riffs in drop A (my preference) theyd be millions of times better even with the same vocals. Bass is a key element to any good music

    To the guy who said you can't be a "heavy" metal band without tuning to B (lol...) - take a look at Iron Maiden, Dio, Metallica, Megadeth, and Black SABBATH (who actually did tune down, but it wasn't to sound more "heavy", but because Iommi cut off his fingers..). Or maybe the New Wave of British HEAVY Metal? Anyway, silly kids these days... these guys fucking ROCK! Came from 3 inches of blood :D

    Without drop B or lower tuning, how can you expect to be called a 'heavy' metal band??? Lol almost insulting term for this!! Yah metal band but no way heavy at all, it seems no one in this shout box has heard of Danza lll, Psyopus, The Perriwinkle Massacre etc laughable tags.. Needs more chugs then I will Willingly become a fan. Someone tell management they need 7 string guitars.

    @Stefan66K: According to all sources I could find, their current singer is Michael Gremio, even though he wasn't on 'Flying Tigers'. Too bad their lineup changes so often. They have potential.
