At the age of 12 or 13, Rikki began throwing pre-made sounds together on a video game. This was year 1.

Year 0 consists of fragmented memories of writing album track-listings and lyrics with his childhood friend; the influence of his father’s collection of classic dance records; sitting in the back of the car on a journey, mentally picking apart the elements of Rejuvination’s ‘Requiem’ - the progressive trance track playing on the car stereo; and looking at that poster of one of the Orbital brothers in the school library. Sharing a school and a hometown, but sadly too many years apart Rikki, like Orbital, originates from Kent, England.

From picking apart and mimmicking other people’s music, to constructing songs with pre-made sounds, to feeling limited, Rikki sought more control over his sound. Long story short - omitting tales of poor secondary education, unfulfilling college education, and by far a more satisfying self-taught approach - Rikki is now White Origins, The Lime Room, The Effected Collection; one half of Ministerialis (with Karen VR), and of Epture (with Benoit Martin); and founder of Headform Records.

Drawing inspiration from a host of Ambient, Chill, House, DnB and Classical artists, including Brian Eno, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Mandalay, Synkro, BT, Electribe 101, Omni Trio, Ludovico Einaudi, Rikki’s music is being sought for DJ mixes, net radio, remixes, and collaborations.
