I would lock you up but I could not bear to hear you
Screaming to be set free
I would chain you up if I'd thought you'd swear
The only one that mattered was me, me, me

While most of Wham!'s classic songs are characterized by peculiar flamboyance, this one seems to largely abandon that aesthetic, creating a deliciously sexual and hedonistic pop tune in the tradition of Elvis Presley and other musical mavericks. However, beneath the sleaze and glamour, there seems to be a genuine thread of sincerity in this track. From my experience, no song has captured the magic of sexual tension and long make-out sessions with one's true love. The music video is outstanding, and everything combined makes this one of the last highlights of Wham!'s history.

Even though this was their final song together before George would go on to his solo career, they went out on top. A fabulous Dance-pop song!
