There are three bands with the name Wet Paint. They are listed separately below.

(A) An English alternative group formed in 2007. Containing three members of the band Absentee. They also have a separate Lastfm page found here… Wet Paint (UK)

(B) A Czech metal band formed in 1999.

(C) A sleaze glam rock group from Germany. They have probably recorded only one project Shhh…! in 1995. On this album they cooperated with some few other musicians… For example with “The Voice of Rock” Glenn Hughes.

The band were formed in 2007 during “time-off” from other project Absentee. Their debut album It Rots is due for release Jan 14th 2008.

To date they have released two singles: Save The Whale and Hug It Out. The singles both had cover versions on the b-sides by Lightspeed Champion and Bloc Party respectively.

They are signed to record label Trial & Error Recordings.

Members: Babak Ganjei (guitar/vox), Laurie Earle (guitar), James Wignal (bass) and Melinda Bronstein (drums).

The band was orriginaly formed in 1999. They have released one full length album called I.C.U.

Members: Lucie Bakešová (vocals), Martina Pospíšilová (keyboards, vocals, percussion), Kateřina Štosová (bass), Mirek Šolc (guitars), Jan Nikendey (drums)

Alternative members: Michal Vinker (bass), Jan Cidlinský (bass, violin), Tomáš K. Drahoňovský (vocals), Dalibor Cidlinský (keyboards, percussion)

There was also an old Psych band called Wet Paint and they were better than all these other Wet Paint wannabees.

The band posted three new songs and two old demos on their MySpace page recently. I assume the new tracks will be on the album that's in the works. The new songs are "Little Disapointments" [sic], "Dead Night, and "Gone So Long". Cheers.

I've heard from Babak and Laurie both that Wet Paint's second album is being mixed soon. I assume that means we'll see the new album this summer maybe. I hope so.

Hey all, The Wet Paint who are playing with Bloc Party on their upcoming tour are not the Czech hair-metallers. Search for Wet Paint (UK) to find their lastfm page. Sorry for the confusion!
