The German born Alexander Wendt is composing since the 1990s. He lives in Greenwich, London, UK. His early music consists of mostly silicone based sound, structures of psycho-acoustic phenomena, computational accidents, pure tones and glitches. In his recent works instrumentation, field recordings and the interaction with space, technology and audience gained importance.
Alexander Wendt lectures at Universities on the subjects of arts, media and design since 2005.
From 2003 to 2006 he has been producing FREQUENZEN, an arts radio programme transmitting sonic arts, post-millenial electronica, improv and experimental music on London airwaves. His program was streamed via www.resonancefm.com and connected a global network of music aficionados and artists.
He runs the imprint 12x50 RECORDINGS since 2001 and has collaborated with Jodi Cave, Matt Rösner, Jasper Leyland, John Chantler, … to name but a few.
