  • You met Wei Wei? I'd faint. She's a legend to the music world.
  • Since the higher part of her career was BEFORE the internet music industry took off, it is understandable why there was only 815 plays. It began about 25 years ago.. in the 80's people. The 80's. She was part of the Beijing Olympic Theme Song (Welcome to Beijing), and she also sang the theme song for the Women's World Cup... I believe she helped write it also. I was privelaged to meet her at a special Chinese TV Show, Broadcast to over 1 billion people worldwide. Mostly in China, South East Asia, and North American-Asian Channels. Man oh man, can this woman ever sing. Meeting her was an honor. Read about her on Wikipedia. She was not always an independant artist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wei_Wei_(singer)
  • Nice-looking lady and she has two good albums I bought from iTunes, but there's no way she sold 200 million records. There are numerous reasons why this is impossible, but either way, why lie this way in order to promote an independent artist? The claims are so inflated, that they can't be believable.
  • more than 200 million sold records (making her one of the best selling singers in the world) and only 815 plays?!? O~K xD ... (Chinese Name: 韦唯)
  • dunno, just saw on swedish TV that she's a chinese superstar. Can't explain why she only has 790 scrobbles :/
  • In what way is she China's biggest pop star?
