Couple of things...it's not weezer, it's Rivers Cuomo singing the song with some professional musicians playing the instrumentation before the rest of the band came onstage at a show in NYC. And Rivers' voice sounds much better on this track than Chris Martin's. imo.

I never got why people on the internet feel the need to proclaim their hatred for Coldplay so much. They're definitely not the best band but they sound good enough to me. And this is not a bad cover.
