    DPF55: Initial reviews of Pinkerton were less than stellar. Many critics called the lyrics juvenile, and Rivers Cuomo publicly regretted the album for a while because of it. Obviously, critics have acclaimed the album when looking back on it retrospectively.

    Surfbum, what are you talking about? The album is like 100/100 on metacritic or some shit lol. I also kind of find it funny how at the end he says "but i aint never coming back, I'm sorry" since this album was the last time weezer really used their full potential. Pure coincidence but you never know if he was hinting at something!

    don't know why critics wanted to kill the album and weezer for their second album, I always loved it and was the first back then to buy it, their second best album still, fuck all critics!
