Intro makes me think of real recent death/black metal bands these days. I never really thought much of this band other than them being "technical wankery" but now that I've given their music a few listens I can say (at the risk of sounding like an incredibly pretentious faggot) they were ahead of their time. Some very amazing ideas, but poor execution. This album alone could have been broken down, and spread over five or six albums, and they could have commercialized during their time.

So enjoyable until the singing starts...then it begins it's journey down Suck Avenue.

Definitely a high water mark for high-tech metal.
