Biography

Berlin, Germany (2005 – present)

War from a Harlots Mouth is a metal band, formed between the end of 2005 and spring 2006, in Berlin, Germany.

After releasing their first EP, Falling Upstairs through Yehonala Tapes in 2006, and later a split-CD with Molotov Solution on Twelve Gauge Records in 2006, the quintet signed to Lifeforce Records for the release of their full length debut album “Transmetropolitan” in 2007. After departing with their founding vocalist, they released “In Shoals” in April 2009 with their new vocalist, Nico Webbers (formerly of The Ocean).

The release of the new album, MMX came to be on October 2010 and introduces 8-string guitars to some of the new material.

I will be the first to admit, I don't normally go for stuff like this... but Voyeur is surprising the shit out of me. The Deathspell Omega and Portal influence is obvious, yet there is some Gaza to it too. The vocalist sucks, but musically and production wise this is good shit.

Their sound is so textured, heavily raw

every cd is different and every cd is great. for ppl that arent real into voyeur, you can probably expect a bit of a style change on their next release like theyve done on everything else. im excited to see whats next for them

after switching to 8 string guitars a lot of their stuff sounds the same. Its very hard to get off that Meshuggah-sound when playing 8 strings in metal. Animals as Leaders might be an exception here... Transmetropolitan is still the best!

After hearing voyeur a few times i got tired. I miss the jazz parts [3]. They sound like Gaza/IonDissonance and Meshuggah. They loose their originality, for me personally.

I miss the jazz parts [2] I do too, but I'll reserve judgement on whether the new album kicks ass until I give it more spins. so far it's, meh
