Biography
Wannabe Jalva is a space/psycho/groove rock band from the south of Brazil. It is formed by Rafael Rocha, Tiago Abrahão, Felipe Puperi and Fernando Paulista. The band wrote and recorded 7 songs along 2010 which were compiled as their first release, Welcome to Jalva.
Except for the drummer, Fernando Paulista, all the members switch instruments onstage, what keeps the original idea of their songs and brings freshness to the groove.
The name Jalva refers to somewhere as the band describes as a place they are still looking for.
The band gained visibility after suporting many major worldwide bands playing in Brazil, including Pearl Jam in 2011.
After a year and a half touring with their first released album Welcome to Jalva, and being selected to Lollapalooza Brasil 2013, the band is now working on their second album, to be released in the late 2013.
