Well, I thought that you were wantin' romance
But all you ever do is dance, dance, dance
So I boppity bop the whole night long
To the knocked out music of a jukebox song

I don't agree with DeadKinks but only about forgetting Elvis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Gene Vicent and Eddie Cochran. I do agree that Wanda Jackson belongs in the same league with them all, though.

My god. Forget Elvis, Jerry Lee, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Bill Haley, all of them. This is the real thing. Rock & roll and country both perfectly mastered and put together as if they'd never existed independently. This is rockabilly. One of the most stunning songs I ever listened to.

Brilliant the way she goes from rockabilly bopping to country soul crooning within the space of a few beats, artfully mimicking the lyrical content. Wanda, Wanda, Wanda. It's all coming up Wanda.
