Biography

Walter Murphy & the Big Apple Band was a popular disco band during the 1970’s in the United States, due mainly to their song A Fifth of Beethoven, a funk/disco mix of composer Ludwig van Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. This track was featured in both the movie Saturday Night Fever and an episode of the popular TV show Family Guy.
