@justpeace0 and redhotburrito...Walter comes by his edgy lyrics honestly, having spent a great deal of time on the edge, captive to venal habits and in the company of similar sordid souls. He's seen the fucking elephant , warty tits and all. His writing reflects a profound sense of Weltschmerz, aggravated by age and loss, and it helps him deal with deep depression without having to turn to narcotics. This is the theme of Circus Money[\i}, and it pervades both the lyrics and music. "Darkling Down" and the penultimate next track ("God's Eye View") of the CD brings it to a climax. Walter does his best to discourage travel down the metaphysical roads he's taken.

Walter's output is sparse, but very tasty. Great sound and top-notch production. Still trying to figure out what "Darkling Down" is about.....anyone?
