Waga Waga was a finnish rock band with four members. They we’re active in the mid-90’s, releasing an album and playing live. All in all, the band’s career remained quite short, but their album Some Stories is still worth listening.

Waga Waga played easy-going, summery if you will, rock, with some exceptions, like folkish ‘A giant from Lapland heading south’ and a grim, heavier song ‘Rodion Romanovyts Raskolnikov stuck in a spacecraft in the outer space’. Both songs happen to be instrumental, although the latter has some lines spoken in Russian, as the final words of the unlucky Raskolnikov.

Members of the band played under English aliases and so the band’s singer-songwriter with very unique sound remains to be known as Eddie Forty. Other members were called John Bullet, Arthur Livingstone and Gary Longhair.
