Biography
Band started as Igor’s personal project in the end of 2008 (although the idea and some songs exist from 2006), and so far the band released 2 albums- completely different musically from the newer work (first was in some kind of ambient/black metal style, the second was more experimental shoegaze/post-metal/ambient). After releasing the second album, Vranorod got full line-up, and the sound of the band changed. The newer work is deeply influenced by the shoegaze, post rock and post-punk and sometimes defined as melancholic pop. All in all- the band’s goal is to show that genres are just fictional thing, and that music can not be put in few words. In the full line-up (that you can see bellow), band recorded their third album titled Dreamlike Fading. The producer of the album is Predrag Pejcic, and band cooperated with a photographer Korin Fisher on the photo for a cover artwork.
In the end of summer 2011, Vranorod released a single “Colors”, that annaunced the album and was third on Popboks top-list in October 2011 (top-list of Serbian singles).
“Dreamlike Fading” album was out on summer 2012, published by a German label Der neue Weg.
