Vose is an original rock band from eastern PA that was formed in 2003 by Rob Harvey. Starting with only his acoustic guitar, Rob forged a few modest songs drawing inspiration from his grunge rock predecessors like super groups Nirvana and Pearl Jam and other lesser knowns such as Oleander and Caroline’s Spine. After mild solo success, Rob, needing a band to progress his vision, formed Vose with friends to round out their ever growing sound. The newly formed 3-piece spent years honing their skills and crafting grunge rock anthems infused with elements from today's modern rock giants. They released a series of demos and the much-anticipated full length, "Fire," in 2007.

Then, in late 2008, Vose wanted to expand their sound even more and added a few new members. The band started drawing new inspiration and song composition from rock legends like Led Zeppelin and Hendrix, the soaring epic triads of contemporary musicians like …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, a harder edge from bands like AFI, Boysetsfire and Brand New, as well as the eccentricity of mainstream stalwarts, the Smashing Pumpkins. In early 2009, riding an ever growing wave of momentum, they quickly released the 4-song "Lovers & Liars EP" to show the new direction of the band. Shortly after, in 2010, they released the follow-up “Death by Progress EP”.

Vose is currently playing shows in the tri-state area and writing songs for their 2nd full length album to be released in late 2011.
