These people should've done a dungeon synth album or two. Their sense of melody would've suited the style impeccably. Oh well, I suppose there's a bit of dungeon synth in their works already, and their whole oeuvre is wonderful! I own the "History" compilation, and despite the rather weak-sounding and buried guitars, it's a beautiful, dreamy and wistful album. Along with Thy Serpent, this band is probably one of my favourite keyboard-driven black metal bands ever to have emerged from Finland.
Finding the original tape might be hard since it was only pressed in an edition of 100 copies. The "History" CD that No Colours printed has the full demo included, but for some reason they tried remastering the material and the result turned out awful and almost unlistenable.
There exists around 45-60 minutes of unreleased Vordven material as 4-track demo recordings. We've been toying around with the idea of digging up that material, polish it a bit and go record it in a professional studio. There's some good shit in there so it'd be a shame to let it go to waste. Unfortunately for some it is more in the vein of the MCD than "Towards..". Time will tell..
