It's getting rarer, but it's not completely gone. This album had Who They Are, 7 Shots, and Evelyn. Their latest has Room 24, Dead But Rising and Doc Holliday. I'd like to see more of a return to form next time, but we'll see. Not a huge fan of the lighter songs on Outlaw Gentlemen, but I did love the ones on this.
Of all the fucking songs to write a "sellout" comment on, why this one? It's about Poulsen's deceased father! If there is one Volbeat song he put his whole heart into, it's this one. The lack of heaviness does nothing but prove this; he wrote what felt right, not one bit concerned with making heavy metal.
