    Andrew Morrison:
    Andy's Recap
Andy's show this month takes a break from the latest new music to look back over highlights from past shows, some of his favourite records, and some older tracks he's yet to get around to playing. Artists featured include Eliza, Beangrowers, Seagull Strange, Samuraj Cities, I Am Jen, schnieder tm, Laura Cantrell and many, many others. There is also a sneak preview of the two tracks that will be played at Andy's funeral - including his favourite tune of all time! So listen in, for a backwards glance at some of Andy's classic Dandelion selections, and a succinct summary of the type of records that he loves playing on his show.

    Gareth Main:
After the best part of a year away from Dandelion, Gareth returns with a heavily digidub infused two hours, featuring incredible Doncaster MC Parly B as well as Alpha Steppas, Soom T and Pupajim.
It's not all dub though, as always, there's a mix of the weird and wonderful…
  • 2010: Twin Shadows and a New Country

    28 Dec 2010, 02:37 by arjesh

I complained last year about the over-accessibility of music and the lack of a clear musical direction in my life. Thankfully I had only the former to complain about this year and as far as complaints go, it’s an entirely self-inflicted one. z-soldier and I realized that we had a downloading addiction (52GB in 14 days; mediafire archives the new crack) and so this year we swapped downloading duties: when one of us was in charge of downloading, the other stayed `on the wagon’ so to speak; music would appear magically in our shared dropbox folder.

Two exciting new musical directions became visible to me this year. The first was a re-exploration of deep space synth and kraut sounds originally explored by the likes of Manuel Göttsching and Klaus Schulze with an occasionally noisy lo-fi aesthetic; with many of these artists releasing on tape-only labels. Unusually for me, the artists in this grouping are mostly American; they combine the Germanic inspiration with sounds from 80s American tv shows and the America of Blade Runner.

ever wondered what the missing pop link between, The Killers and The Pet Shop Boys would sound like ??? well i'm guessing they'd sounds something like Visitor. i've been listening to their new single 'Los Feeling', which can best be described as power ballad pop, with synthy tendencies. and if the original isn't synthy enough for you, electro kids out there check out, Flashmen's remix of 'Los Feeling'. it's all below give it a listen and let me know what you think. oh and you can also give Visitor some myspace loving here, and if your in a particularly loving mood i'm sure Flashmen wouldn't say no to some twitter love too.

  • Crossed wires? Wierdness with Last.FM Visitor Profile

    2 Jun 2007, 20:48 by VisitorUSA

    Hi guys and gals,

In case you hadn't noticed there is some weirdness occurring here at the Visitor Ranch. It seems that Joel's profile has been intertwined with some other guy in Europe who is also called Visitor. He seems to be a "DJ". He makes Electronic/Techno/Dance/Robot music. As you all well know, Joel is not a "DJ". And without coming off too harsh he has a longstanding beef with robots/robot people. Its kind of ironic that this intermingling of the two opposites has occurred. For now we'll just see it as funny. At least until we're served cease and desist papers. You know, cause that's what robots do. Anyway, if you're here to check out Joel then you're clearly smart enough to know the difference and think nothing of it.

Love, Love and Sweet Sweetness to you all....
