Virgos Merlot was a hard rock band formed in 1998. Their singular album, Signs of a Vacant Soul, was released in 1999, and featured densely-produced atmospheric guitars, a heavy rhythm presence, and the commanding vocals of lead singer Brett Hestla.

  • Yeah, I was pretty upset when I found out the Deacon had passed on. Their new lead singer was a part of the Red Halo group with Merchant and the Deacon. Chase has a good voice and I'd love to hear new stuff from them. I had a farewell concert of theirs awhile ago, but damned if I can find it. They were/are amazing.
