Biography

(2011 – 2013)

Vior gloire was one of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION’s newest bands prior to their closing in 2013. Following in the footsteps of past members’ band, GRiST, Vior Gloire were on the romantic and frilly side with some harder rock elements subtly thrown in, making them fairly different from all of the newer bands on that were signed to UCP. This style retained throughout their releases, with gradual incorporation of more piano and synthesizer arrangements into their music.

Originally Vior Gloire were added to the label’s roster in 2011 without much detail in regards to who the official members were. They performed a few times before ‘officially’ forming as a prototype band that participated in special live events. For a few months, not much was known about this band with the exception of their existence and that they had fairly elaborate costumes when their blog URLs were leaked. The band’s declared start date was May 21st, 2011. With that, a new image of the band was released showing a completely different (and arguably more tame) costume set, which lead to speculation that there was a change of concept and stylistic direction while they were still acting as a prototype. On March 17th, 2013, they performed as a special alter-ego, “Vior,” wearing these fabled costumes. Their first single, インスパイア , was released in July of 2011.

They were too good and had to disperse for the greater good. ヒスリック, アリー, and My Place -- All great.

That's lame. At least they'll have another single before they disband, even if it is live distributed.

Ah, they at least deserved one good PV. Could have been made into quite something.

悲しみの地に咲く花 even topped インスパイア in my book.

i'm really grateful of listening to bands like this, their album is surprisingly better than i expected, not for their quality but UCP used to release cheap contest albums, good for them... i wish a long and succesful career after UCP closing

Funny how such a good album has the worst album cover ever [2], lol. I'm really impressed with this album. Just beautiful and well-crafted. Probably one of the best VK releases in a while.

There's that GRiST flavor all over the album. Knowing that Shall is the one who has composed almost everything, it's like a more mature GRiST. I love it. [2]

Haven't been able to check out the entire album, only despair. I didn't like their earlier release but this song is amazing. Hope I like the entire album!
