Violence Paints The Sky

Formed in late 2004, Violence Paints The Sky dwell in the middle ground of heavy trip-hop atmospheres, grinding guitars, swirling synths, ambient soundscaping, intense drum’n’bass, glitch, and experimental digital signal processing. But unlike most of their peers, Violence Paints The Sky is first and foremost about great songwriting and emotional resonance.

Electronics and programming build a foundation for extremely personal lyrics, whispered/sung by one of the most unique and emotive voices we’ve ever heard. ‘Everything Was…’ and ‘Shutter’ are harrowing documents of a journey though the stages of the aftermath of a doomed relationship. Doomed would be a good word to describe the overall atmosphere of Violence Paints The Sky. Doomed and resigned to one’s fate…but what beautiful, powerful music that makes for.

Violence Paints The Sky was formally known as No Hope.

My God, what an incredible album. One of the most painfully euphoric experiences I've had in a long time.

Yep, Kris. Completely and totally. And No Hope was taken, thus the change. Totally loved this album. Does anyone know it was a double album and the second disc was instrumental only? Man, the thing was just completely emotionally brutal. Nothing but heart. It was his way. xo's to all. I'm making it, but I have my times. Thanks for listening and remembering.

Someone's obviously figured out a way to DL them; one of the tracks has three plays.

It is pretty good but certainly not TAP quality. The whole thing seems a bit underdeveloped and when Kris is whispering it gets a bit cheesy. Has some rad moments, though.

I cant find any links anywhere for them. And it COULD be Kris. The last login of VPTS on myspace was soonish before Kris died.

I heard rumors that this was a solo project of Kris Angylus from The Angelic Process. Is that true?
