Great ambient band. Unremarkable rock band. Terminus > Alpha.

On first listen Alpha is great. I'm certain it's going to become a favourite. I'm enjoying Terminus too.

Alpha is definitely a step up. And Terminus was pretty damn good to begin with.

Album with the densest sound in years. Definitely a step up for Vindensång and one of 2014's highlights so far.

Terminus is an amazing album. If I understand well, it starts with neofolk, switchs to post-rock slowly, dives into black metal influences, and drowns in the end with a drone part? How amazing is that? All the best genres in a single album? This is madness!

In case you haven't checked out their FB page, Jeffrey Neblock recently did a lengthy interview with Radio In Opposition. Here's the link for the podcast. In it, he goes into pretty much the entire history of Vindensång and the ideas behind it. He also plays tracks from the demo, EP, full-length and compilation, and shares a bunch of cool ideas, like how he'd like to make shows more sensory by doing things like burning specific types of incense for specific songs or playing at strange venues e.g. in a cave (imo: do both). The actual interview starts about 21 minutes in and at the very end, about 1:50:40 I think, he talks briefly about the new album, which he says should be out in early 2012.
