Biography

Village of Savoonga was founded 1991 in Weilheim, Germany by Markus Acher (The Notwist) and Christoph Merk (Kollaps label) with the aim “to record noise”. As Wolfgang Petters (Hausmusik label) had a 4 track recorder and cooked for both of them he was quickly accepted as a new band member. Also Micha Acher and Christoph Brandner perform with Villaga of Savoonga.

    I know the ratings are low (VU new account, btw) but the reviews themselves are... well, read 'em yourself :P. That's a common disrepancy on that site - 3 stars and rave reviews; see that all the time.
