Cover of Broadsides & Retrospectives

From Broadsides & Retrospectives and 2 other releases

Mad Cowboy Disease is a “cartoon song” with a Zydeco beat aimed as a broadside at Neo Con war policies, states songwriter Vic Sadot. In Appril 2003 Vic and his brother Rob were at a demonstration in Washington, DC against the month old war and occupation of Iraq when they noticed a demonstrator’s sign that proclaimed “There is a cure for Mad Cowboy Disease!” The song was written shortly after that.and released as the lead song of nineteen on a 2005 CD titled “Broadsides & Retrospectives. Sadot says,”America has a great tradition of phony cowboy politicians, all hat, no cow, and plenty of rationalized agression. And America has a great tradition of making fun of them too!” The CD is available from CD Baby and at Last FM.
