Everyday I'm away from your shades
Me, up inside, I wanna be near ya
Know that you're here lying just next to me
How happy we both be

@orianabella: makes me want to wear one too, and I'm an old white guy!

It's nice, and fortunately I've never seen any of those type of ads mentioned below so I don't have those associations.

hahah heart_of_butter i agree. i'm sad because people hear this on whatever shitty commercial and it doesn't do the band justice.

Ugh, I'd like this song...if it weren't for the fact that a thousand facsimiles of this tune are being used in commercials for everything from yogurt to home loans trying to push a "simple and carefree" image to appeal to white women in the 28-45 age range. I can barely even listen to it without picturing some fairly attractive yet relateable brunette smiling because she's so happy with her peanut butter or how much she's saved at Wal-Mart or some bullshit like that.

Sometimes a simple song with no super-hidden messages is very nice. This song's lyrics are simple and straightforward, and I like that.

I think about this song everyday. And, probably hear it in grocery stores/television shows/random places just as oft.
