The Perfect Summer Jacket

Yesterday I wandered into River Island for the first time in years, as I know I am waaaaay too old for most of their clothes, but while I was in there I found the perfect summer jacket - sorry, boxy blazer with 3/4 length sleeves -to pull all the items in my wardrobe together, to throw over summer dresses and to hide dodgy upper arms. It is as light as a whisper, the fabric feels slithery in a luxurious way and it also comes in black. No brainer. At £34.9 it would have been rude not to have both. It also comes in navy, which is not my colour but would work brilliantly with white skinny jeans ...

I also tried on their palazzo pants printed with white birds. Gorgeous, but haven't a clue when or where I would wear them, so managed to resist. Out of stock online but you might get them in branch. I think they would be perfect for a Thameside al fresco lunch.
