Clear Sailing (3:17)

Cover of Sound Castles

From Sound Castles

Clear Sailing was written by the Seattle-based songwriting team of Ken Bidner and Doug Anderson. The duo had worked on musical projects together for decades but in 2003 they decided to launch themselves as Ventana. Their musical inspriations are not hard to trace: The Beatles, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ivan Lins, Baden Powell, Rio de Janeiro, tangas, saudade, the Malecon of Puerto Vallarta at night and many other tropical delectations.

dcpunk: you're right; if you have any ideas as to how we can separate the easy listening Ventana from the death-metal VentanA - we're all ears. We've been in a kind of shotgun wedding for more than a few years now & not much to either's liking (thought it's cool that so many death metal fans love 'Clear Sailing'!); time for a good clean divorce -- how to, how to, how to... Cheers...
