Update: Vena Amori has broken up. From the ashes of Vena Amori, Thunder Eagle has started.

Vena Amori is not just a rock band. They are here for one reason… to kill. To kill all stereotypes of what rock, metal, and hardcore are and attack the senses of anyone who wants deliverance from the regularity of living.
Founded in the Fall of 2003 in Lawrence, KS by guitarists Justin Osbourn and Clint Miller. The two began spent their days writing songs and searching for bandmates. Drummer Mike Buchholtz and bassist brother Tim Buchholtz were the perfect additions to fill out the lineup.

The four horseman of the Kansas City apocalypse quickly became a well oiled rock machine, continuing to write, record and play out throughout the next year trying to solidify their sound which musically could be described as something such as Iron Maiden, Poison the Well, and Grade put into a meat grinder with the urgency of a psychotic killer.

Fighting with the frustration of having no main voice, the band started splitting the vocal duties among all members creating a unique blend of screaming, shouting, singing melodies. In late 2004, Clint Miller decided to leave the band. The split was amicable and the empty slot was quickly filled by longtime friend Lance “Attack” McCurdy.

Now with a solid line up, Vena Amori is hell-bent on making music that will be undoubtedly theirs and leave a trail of impressed and intimidated spectators nationwide. Having already been billed with some of the best up and coming names in indie rock and metal such as: Murder by Death, The Esoteric, Planes Mistaken for Stars and Fear before the March of Flames. Vena Amori has already made their presence felt.
