Velvet Eden

Biography

VELVET EDEN was a // band from Tokyo, Japan.

During the career, their music changed drastically from almost pure electronic (1998-2000: Dada, Kalm) to indie rock (2000-2001: Dada, Hora, Masahiro, Abe, R.Y.O; 2001-2002: Dada, Bella, Mimi, Lem). The only constant member was eccentric frontman/soloist Dada (formerly E-Typ & Pride of Mind vocalist), whose absence at 2002 live show was the end of VELVET EDEN, though it was not declared officially.

Dada used to work on a side-project called “Mononoke unit” aswell, while being in VELVET EDEN (Kalm era) Members of “Mononoke Unit” were Cali=Gari’s Ao, Ya-su from Yafoo! and Onan Spelmermaid.
Currently it’s only Hora and Kalm who continue their music careers. Hora mantains his solo career; Kalm has done the music for Kaya’s (ex-Schwarz Stein) solo works. He has also done some music forSeileen

Dada is not the founder nor main designer of the gothic fashion label ‘Arachnophobia’, he only models for them.

It is rumoured that Dada is back doing drag again. The rumours about Kalm & Dada planning doing music are false, Kalm isn’t in any contact with Dada.
