Velojet is an Austrian indie rock band. Their style is influenced by music of the 60s like The Beatles or Beach Boys as well as jazz-music. In 2006 the band was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award.

In 2005 their self titled debut-album was released. The singles ‘Your Side’ and ‘Something to believe in’ gained much airplay by radio FM4 and gotv.

In June 2007 the band released their second album ‘This quiet town’.

    ich kann es einfach nicht fassen, dass in österreich 'musiker?' wie lukas plöchel, mondscheiner, luttenberger&klug,..(diese liste wäre wohl ewigst lang) von allen seiten unterstützt werden, welchen es mMn extremst an musikalischen qualitäten mangelt und auf der anderen seite die musikalisch hochwertigen und produktiven bands wie velojet, francis international airport, liquid glam rockets, the staggers usw. beinahe keine aufmerksamkeit geschenkt wird.. es werden in österreich die besten talente verschwendet und genau dies ist der grund , weßhalb österreich von der spitze der internationalen musikszene so weit entfernt ist.. vlt liest es ja einer denen, der in der österr. musikszenen etwas zu sagen hat und macht sich sein bild dazu.. ;)
