Vaughan King (Born October 5, 1982) is an English singer-songwriter, currently living in London.
In late 2007, he formed a band that goes by the name of Vaughan King and his Riff Raff and regularly plays live. His style has been described as “thought-provoking” and “having an interesting and clever array of instruments.”

Vaughan’s debut album The Triumphant has been released to critical acclaim with Kerrang! magazine awarding it 4 out of 5 and drawing comparisons with Jeff Buckley. The Triumphant was also described as “being one of this years best kept secrets.”

Vaughan also featured and was interviewed on BBC Radio, on The Steve Scruton show, which is presented by Steve Scruton, on August 13, 2008.

Other Projects include Alternative/Art rock band Left, in which he is the chief songwriter and lead singer.

Vaughan King released his debut album “The Triumphant” via DRS Productions in the summer of 2008. Critically acclaimed, the album scored 4/5 in Kerrang whilst Rock Sound hailed it as one of the best kept musical secrets of 2008.

The album sold through word of mouth helped by an intense live show which is performed with a live band consisting of two cellists and the customary instrumentation of bass, drums and guitar. The band regularly perform sell-out shows at venues all across London such as the Barfly and The Water Rats Theatre. Plans are currently afoot to record a full length album for next year as Vaughan is busy writing and developing songs as an escalation to “The Triumphant”.

He is also the lead vocalist and guitarist in hard-art rock band “LEFT”. The band have just recorded a three-song EP in Leeds and will be playing up and down the country in 2009.
