27 Jun 2006, 03:40 by novocainesensesi know these journals are supposed to be written on subjects that are relative to music, but lets be honest. no one ever does that anymore. except for those god awful song surveys. which by the way, really need to stop.
anyway, it's true. summer is here, and somehow i've managed to get myself sick. why couldn't this have happened at a more convenient time (i.e. during the school year)? but its fiiiiiine. i've been playing Sims 2 and listening to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind all day.
you may call it a waste of life, but i call it a nice bout of relaxation.
i really like Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime. i know it's not the most uplifting tune to keep in your head, but it's def one of my favorite Beck songs. probably due to my unnecessary emotional attachment to it. eternal sunshine really did it for me.
in other news, Plans has been getting so overplayed lately. i've definitely heard Crooked Teeth like three times yesterday through several different means. …

Speaking of which, that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mindhas really grown on me. I wasn't a big fan initially but have fallen in love with Jon brion's production lately.
And never mind the extreme goodness that is Broken Social Scene.
On the hip hop front, not much current has me all that open but Interviewis getting noticed this week, especially because I get to hear Amanda Diva's scratchy voice asking the questions.
