Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A. (1988 – 1996)

Vampire Rodents was the name of an / music project active ca. from 1988 to 1996. It was formed in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A., though the members were originally from Toronto, Canada; singer/guitarist/composer Daniel Vahnke (aka Anton Rathausen) and keyboardist Victor Wulf. Violinist/cellist Andrea Akastia began contributing after the release of War Music in 1990. The band was well known for their use of guest vocalists on many of their songs. Although many collaborators were credited on their albums, most of them, such as Consuelo Buenviento, were fake. Daniel Vahnke was primarily influenced by and music, whereas Wulf was more focused on music, and both styles contributed to the mood of the band’s output.

    On the track "Nosedive" the vocals remind me of the Babyland-vocalist. Dunno if it's really him, or just that the vocalist has a very similar voice on this song.
