Born amidst bombshells and mortar blasts in a hospital in central Beirut, Vahé (of Armenian ancestry) traveled to Melbourne, Australia at the mere age of 3 with his fam in tow, his parents determined to start a new, war-free existence on some weirdo island on the other side of the world…well, STRUTH!
It was at an early age that Vahé, whilst growing up in the harsh bushlands of Auslandia, first began to commune with the ancient dead spirits of this once pre-historic, mythological Pangaea. There was a rhythm, the beat of a simple drum, that basic of base forms of musical expression, and still one of the most potent today, would later propel him toward the scintillating miasma of all that is 'music'.
When it was time for him to eventually start making tunes of his own, V was already well on the way to falling in love with hip-hop music and culture. The earlier beattapes reflect this love and admiration for a genre that held the BEAT (and by default, the DRUM) in such high regard. Generally-put: the track ain't bangin if the drums aren't bangin.
Through many years of trial and error, musical release became just that: a release. The intention was to create whenever the mood dictated, and to go in whatever direction the muse wanted to go. In the end, all his tunes remain a patchwork, unfinished rough stones laid down as sacrificial lambs for the greater, polished, unearthed gem of musical aptitude that is one day surely to spring forth.
