Bad Spit is perhaps the greatest pioneer in Norwegian multie-syllable rapping. He raps in Trøndersk-Norwegian about family-friendly subjects such as inbreeding, down's syndrome, illuminati, sex and violence.
Pen Jakke was a Norwegian hip-hop group from Fredrikstad, Norway formed in 1997. The group consisted of MCs Skanglebein, Fundamental Lyd and Ubåt, and DJ Sjel Jonas. In 1999, their debut single "De Kom Ridende" was released, but their breakthrough came with their only full-length album "Østen" in 2000. They split up in 2001.

N-Light-N (also known as Son of Light) is a norwegian rap artist from the town of Mandal. He was among the first artists signed on Tommy Tee's label Tee Productions, and he released his debut album Deep Green under the name N-Light-N. The album did not sell well, but it is today widely seen as a classic release in the norwegian hip-hop scene.
