    ...except that a lot of people that dislike sonic youth really are the sorts that assume that because juno said it's just noise that it really is just that. or they heard kool thing in guitar hero and didn't like it because it wasn't dragonforce.

    No one talked about Unwound being influenced by Daydream Nation, they said Sonic Youth must have been an influence for them and another dude talked about Sonic Youth not being overrated, which I agree with. Also, Unwound were more than definitely influenced by Daydream Nation, as well as EVOL and Sister; they don't sound a lot like No Wave-era Sonic Youth, tbh.
