Biography
Unsacred Hearts are a rock band from New York City. They have ties to a number of bands of which they were previously members, most notably Cold Memory, of which drummer Travis Harrison and guitarist Dave Siegel were active members. While the Hearts’ singer and frontman, Joe Willie, was the primary lyricist for Cold Memory, it wasn’t until the formation of Unsacred Hearts that he began to perform. In 2005, Andy Ross (also known for his solo project, Secret Dakota Ring), bassist and founding member of the Unsacred Hearts, moved to California where he eventually joined OK Go as a guitarist.
2004 saw the release of the band’s self-titled EP on the newly formed label, Serious Business Records. In 2005, they released a split 7” vinyl EP with their then new labelmates, Man In Gray. In April of 2006, they released their first full-length album, In Defense Of Fort Useless, quickly followed by a digital-only EP, Five Believers, including out-takes from the session for Fort Useless, as well as two previously unreleased covers of Man In Gray songs —- “Brakelights” and “Hoboken.”
