Under the Influence of Giants (sometimes abbreviated UTIOG) is an alternative dance group from Los Angeles, California. The band is often compared to the Scissor Sisters. They released their major label debut album in August 2006, which was a number one hit on the Top Heatseekers chart. Among their influences are the Bee Gees, Prince, WHAM!, and Todd Rundgren. They have performed on Last Call with Carson Daly and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The band’s first single 2006’s “Mama’s Room” was a minor hit on US Modern Rock radio.

The band formed in 2000 consisting of singer Aaron Bruno, guitarist Drew Stewart, drummer David Amezuca, keyboardist Erin Kathleen Logan and bassist Josh Moreau. The band went through several genre changes and band names before settling on Under the Influence of Giants. Logan and Moreau left (the later joined Hoobastankp/b]), and Jamin Wilcox joined to replace them.
