Born near the major city of Koln, Germany, in 1982, Umlaut lived for only 3 years in Germany before his family moved to the U.S. in 1985. Leaving Massachusetts for California Brikauski completed his first album in December of 2007 entitled ‘Life Is Sad.’
The debut album was self-recorded and produced in a tiny bedroom in Manhattan Beach, and a slightly larger bedroom in Echo Park, LA. It’s available in cd/book form.
