1) Uman is a French brother and sister team, Didier and Danielle Jean. They released their first CD, Chaleur Humaine, in 1992, their second, Terra Incognita, in 1994. Purple Passage was released in 1997, and You Are Here was released in 2000.

Uman comes from a Native American word, umane, meaning roughly “Earth Forces” (see

2) Brussels underground hiphop and ragga veteran (cf. De Puta Madre and soundsystem Bass Culture). Uman’s first solo album: “l’aventure c’est l’aventure”.

3) Uman is the producer Jonas Ullmann, formerly of Task Horizon. He also collaborates with Vegas of Bad Company UK under the name Blockhe4d.
