This song is incredible. For some reason it brings to mind images of the columbine massacre. I specifically imagine them in their last moments, and how strange that must have been, waiting in the library, alone, realizing they really did just kill a lot of people, and preparing to end their own existence. I guess it just seems really fitting, like an overwhelming sense of emptiness and knowing there's no turning back. "Vowels" by Ulver brings to mind other specific images, or other people too. There was this complete recluse that lived in Chicago, and made this huge bizarre 1000's of pages book. I forget his name, but that song always brought to mind his life.
