Grup Kızılırmak founded by İlkay Akkaya, Tuncay Akdoğan and İsmail İlknur in 10 October 1990 and is based in Turkey. The group is named after "Kızılırmak" poem of Hasan Hüseyin Korkmazgil. The group in best known for playing Anatolian Folk Music (Turku) and their protest lyrics. Their music is more innovative and tolerant, compared to the music of other protest music groups of the period.

her education. There, she participated
in the musical works of the Folklore
Club. In 1993, she took part as a
founder in the formation of Kardes
Israeli percussionist Yinon Muallem, whose main expertise is Middle Eastern percussion instruments such as the darbuka, def, bendir, and the Iranian zarb, decided three years ago to pursue his career in Turkey. It was a wise decision.
The Bengi Bağlama Trio was founded in 1988 by Okan Murat Öztürk. They were the first group to perform and promote traditional Anatolian music in Turkey. The album "Güneş Bahçesinden Ezgiler" was released in 1999, followed by "Sel Gider... Kum Kalır..." in 2001.
