I left school in the summer of 1981,this song was around that time and it felt like one in ten,you either could sign on and get dole,or like me too young to claim dole the careers service pushed towards Youth oppurtunities programmes,i ended up on one making double glazing earning £23.50 a week for fourty hours,my parents made it very clear if i didnt do this id be a homeless statistic.
